We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer
Run the cloud, compute, and customer environments behind Mido. What you'd own, who we're looking for, and how to apply.
We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer, Backend to own the systems Mido runs on. The role is remote, based in the US, and full-time.
Startups, Fortune-100 enterprises, and AAA games publishers use Mido to make product and go-to-market decisions. Our bar for performance is decision-grade. That makes speed, uptime, and security part of the product.
What you'd own
- Cloud and customer environments. Mido runs on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. You'll manage that footprint and stand up isolated customer environments in the provider and region a customer asks for.
- Simulation and model compute. You'll build the services that schedule and scale compute for simulation runs and Mido's own models, then make large runs faster and cheaper.
- Reliability. You'll define the service-level objectives behind Mido's 99.9% uptime, run monitoring and on-call, and keep backups and failover tested.
- Security. You'll own the infrastructure side of it: encryption in transit and at rest, key management, least-privilege access with SSO and MFA, and vulnerability scanning.
It's a hands-on backend role. You'll write the software behind all of this and plan the infrastructure roadmap with the founders.
Who we're looking for
You have 8 or more years in backend engineering roles, including at least 2 years in a senior role, and you've run production infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. You've tracked down hard problems in production and fixed their root causes. You manage infrastructure as code, and you're careful with access, secrets, and encryption.
You also want to own a whole area on a small team, including on-call for the systems you build. It helps if you've built batch-compute or model-serving infrastructure, or been a company's first infrastructure engineer.
How to apply

Mido for Startups
Platform credits and direct support, so you can test what works before you spend your runway building it. Who it's for, and how to apply.
On clarity
There's never been more product noise, or less clarity. Why building well takes less information, not more — and how Mido makes clarity the default, within reach of any team.
